Karen Goldner: Fort Wayne's raced white rule gets circumvented.
It's no surprise that Karen Goldner is a little miffed about outsiders getting a contract going to immigrants. Goldner is no friend of descriptive non raced white folks. In the article written by a Democrat former Mayor Richard Graham, Ben Lanka, Goldner's quote,
“'I, as a city councilwoman, cannot say I want Fort Wayne to develop a technology community and at the same time vote to offshore this contract,” she said. “In my opinion local businesses were not given the consideration they merited.'”
Let's see I would read that more of ..in my opinion if our friends are to determine how fast the technology community develop for select Fort Wayne businesses, this is a bad time to give it to foreigners who are far more technology sauve than my Democratic friends.
Performance based Goldner, not how many friends can we put on the payroll to learn as they go. At least Clifford Clarke referenced to performance as a reason for going outshore,in the same article,
"Clifford Clarke, the city’s chief technology officer, said the city and county decided to take proposals for a new contractor because the existing contract with ACS, a Texas-based company, had gone on for several years without review. He said the city and county also wanted to try to make the contract more performance-based than strictly about how many employees the contractor provided."
Oh just in case I didnot meant, Clark is an African-American. The
The two companies according to Nicole Pence of Indiananewscenter,
Thursday afternoon he used a power point presentation to show how their bid process for the IT contract was going. Out of eight potential bids, the group is now down to two: "ATOS Origins" and "CMC limited". Both have operations in the United States, but their headquarters are in France and India. Clarke argues even if these are foreign based companies, the money would stay local.
Sound a tad like Indiana Governor Mitch highway sale...
Did Clarke not get permission from Goldner and friends to go with homegrown before foreign born? Boy, I thought those days were over with !! So now you know Goldner's agenda for running for city council. Hopefully, the ordinance will be killed.
Side note: How hard is it to get spelling of Clarke or Goldner by a journalist? Just asking.
