Oprah Gayness

Some are pondering the question about Oprah and her friend Gayle’s close relationship. For two women to have such a close friendship and by enquiring on whether they are gay, to me, implies some type of sexual relationship is required to sustain these types of friendship. And layered in this mess, is a suggestion that a successful and attractive woman like Oprah not being married and without children she must be in the closet. Is Oprah on the down low?

Is it so hard to believe that women or even men can enjoy a woman’s company without engaging in some kind of sexual relationship? I think the fact that Oprah is single, successful, and having a good time, allow young girls to know marriage, is not the ultimate goal of all women in America.

In addition, society may cast you as asexual or longing to be in a sexual relationship with a woman, if you do not team up or union with a man. I believe this is why many African-Americans women have problems with the same sex marriage issue among the gay community. African-Americans were fighting to receive the same privileges granted to raced whites. African-Americans were excommunicated from participating in any activities that was sanctioned by raced white males, guaranteed by laws created by raced white males. Raced whites were not following their own laws in denying privileges solely because of race, (gender did get you some privilege if you were raced white). Makes you wonder if the gay community or the media targeted Oprah to say something negative about the gay community but she did not bite down on that hook.
