Racialists (no I don't mean racist), are very aware of their choice of words in referring to ethnic groups. As long as folks do not express disapproval during private conversation, it should not be a surprise when the same language is used in public.
And when the media label such expression as just an uttering from an insensitive person toward the feelings of other raced folks, it encourages offensive but first amendment protected expressions. What gets me is folks who fail to believe that's how these politicians really see them and it is just one part of the acceptable behavior by mainstream racialist Americans, represented by politicians like Virginia Republican Senator George Allen, and disdain is not just toward African-Americans, until it happens to them personally. America was built on a racist( and this time I mean racist) foundation, and dismantling a racist society is what many died for during the Civil War and the Civil Right Movement. But, there are many racialists who want to see a return of a the racist society and it's privileges to raced white males only.
