The world trade center-the movie

If anyone seen or experienced the real disaster of 9/11, the movie pales in comparison. However, it is a painful reminder of the horror and lost lives. But, the movies shows the commitment and spirit of folks whom work is about saving lives. Not, those who punch a clock and wait for the 8 hours, but those when called during a time of needs, will call out, "I'll go." At times I felt it was a commercial, calling for a few good men, with the forever soldier, who is called to duty even when he is no longer on active duty.

  1. I agree that it pales in comparison, but I thought Stone wisely avoided dealing with much of anything but the stories of these two men and their families ... As it is, I think he succeeded in making a fairly great movie about American heroism and resolve

  2. I agree, Stone did succeed in showing the courage of the men, and the hardships family' members endure being a part of such families.

What do you do when confronted with such a situation?
