Independents going to the polls

Left of Aboite is absolute correct about Independents playing a pivotal role in this year and also in the 2008 election. But some Independents will not just give their vote to a party that has not actively sought out their ballot. Independents will write in candidates rather than vote for the better of two evils as the Libertarians. Independents seek a party that is truly representative of the people. Seriously, I have yet to see any signs in my neighborhood written in Spanish or any other language by either party.

In Fort Wayne, both Democrats' and Republicans' leadership, on the election board, have worked hard to keep out dissenting voices for holding onto their power. This election board should have two members who do not belong to either the Democrats or the Republicans Party to show that it welcomes all citizens to participate in the political process.
