Election Eve

It twas' the night before defeat
and the pub were all scared
as they quickly checked
their numbers with care.

One sole contender,quietly apoligizes
for the robo calls and not the others lies
with visions of winning while lying in bed
as the party members continue to pull the stocking over his head.


Not til late tomorrow some declared
winners and losers
incumbents and newcomers
another stolen election, I fear.
