Good progress is being made as we continue our commitment to build a better city to retain and gain jobs and provide a great quality of life for residents and businesses,” said Mayor Richard. “We encourage everyone to get involved as we work together to create a great destination place north of the river for residents and visitors to enjoy.”
Hello Mr. Mayor Dick or is that Dick Mayor:
Let's reduce your spending for folks can enjoy their homes and the qualify of life they are trying to establish for their families.
I talked to a man today who is working as hard as he can, but he is seeing his quality of life slipping away. He's not looking for a destination place north of the river to enjoy, he just wants to be able to get a little rest and enjoy of his home and family.
Or how about another man who has placed over $20,000 worth of work into his home and that he may lose it because of the increase in his taxes.
Or how about the retired senior citizen who is wondering with the increase in taxes whether or not she will have to sell her home.
Here's some suggestion in reducing the increasing in taxes before you leave office in the next five months:
File the application to delay payments.
Allow all home owners who did not file for the homestead exemption to be granted the exemption immediately
Do not allow the current trending assessment amounts to be used.
Use last year reassessment amount to be used.
Reduced the tax rate to 2.5
Apply for the third income option for property tax replacement credit that will set aside future for public safety by the October 1 deadline.
Join me on Monday at 12:00 p.m. for a peaceful property taxes protest in front of Freimann Square to encourage folks to file appeals.
File the application to delay payments?
ReplyDeleteThat is not a bad idea- but the CITY cannot do that.
Talk to the REPUBLICANS who control the COUNTY government.
They are all on the same team. Tell Richard, Dick or whatever is name to get over to the auditor office and make Blosser file the application today.
ReplyDeleteI think a lawsuit should be filed. I beat that will put some fire under the Mayor, what do you think?
The Mayor of the city has NO authority over the duly elected Auditor.
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice if you at least understood how government worked.
Do you think that the auditor is in this all by her lonesome?
ReplyDeleteYou can not be that naive..let me take that back because IT"S ME THAT does not understand how government works.
As soon as you understand will you take a moment and bring me up to snuff?
