For many the highlight of the Fall Housing Summit will start at 4 p.m. when the DID will unveil locations participating in the first-ever Fort Wayne Downtown Loft Housing Competition. Architects will present renderings of the six units to be developed over the winter, and there will be a tour of the raw spaces so participants in the summit can see the spaces before work commences.
Finally, a last minute treat has been added to the agenda. Scott and Melissa Glaze have partnered with Tym DeSanto, one of the finalists of HGTV’s Design Star show and Fort Wayne native, to renovate one of the lofts in a building on West Wayne Street.

Scott Glaze is the chairman and CEO of Fort Wayne Metals Research Products Corp. Glaze became president of Fort Wayne Metals in 1985. The company has since grown from one facility employing 30 people to five facilities with more than 350 employees in Indiana and Ireland. Glaze has been a member of the medical device committees of ASTM and ISO and has written numerous national and international standards for medical materials. His professional experience also includes Quoin Enterprises LLC and LABECA LLC. Glaze is a member of ASTM International, American Society of Materials, and Wire Association International.
Glaze's community involvement includes serving as the director of the Indiana State Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Alliance, secretary of the Northeast Indiana Corporate Council, and member of the Purdue Ciber Advisory Council.
He received a bachelor's degree in history from Indiana University-Purdue University, Fort Wayne.
Glaze lives in Roanoke with his wife, Melissa, and his three daughters. His interests include history, technology, education, and economic development in Fort Wayne and Indiana
