Members of CodePINK: Women for Peace were in town this morning to get the message out about shutting down the war. Members of the groups visited Senator Evan Bayh's' office at the Federal Building, according to Fannie Joe. Senator Bayh voted in May, Fannie Joes says, to continue to fund the war right along side the Republicans. Senator Mark Souder need not feel left out; a visit was made to his office to let him know the voters are watching him as well, according to Nancy Hill.

Corporations, Congress, Military Bases and Recruiting Stations, and We the people.
Yes, We the people can do something about the war.
According to Fannie Joe, another opportunity for Congress to vote to shut down the war will happen in September. This time the women will be ready, as the organize to make sure Congress shuts down the war. The Women Hold Our Ground for Peace will conduct grounding workshops, ceremonies, silence, and mourning and concludes with 4 days of drumming, singing, changing and direct action. All that asks is for womyn--mothers, sisters, grandmothers, women of all income levels, nationalities, life-styles is to join them and end the war September 2007.
