It's been a month and I've calm down just a tad to reveal to the world, that I have been banned from all Allen County Public Libraries for one year. Yes, banned. What in the world could a person do to be banned for a library you said? I would like to know the answer to that question myself.
But, I was banned for a year, because, I have no problem telling folks to go fly a kite. I know that can be viewed as being mean. I can be mean, but I am not mean, it's just that some folks you need to do some choice word act on them. And that's what got me in the target zone to be banned from the library. If the fellas could have had their way, I probably would have been arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing. But the best they could do was to ban me from the library for a whole year.
I was so angry or should I say embarrassed about the fact that I did not want to tell my children. Unfortunately, I had to tell my youngest, when she asked if I was going to the library anytime soon. So, when I told her I was banned, she laughed outlouded. "Mama" she said, "what did you do to get banned from the library?" And she shook her head. "Only you could upset some folks to get banned from the library," she stated.
So, now you know now that my child knows. And that's why I have not blogged as much.
I feel better now.
Until the next time...
oh my, credo! banned from the library! and not just one library, but ALL AC libraries?? WTH did you do? i check your blog nearly everyday -- and i've been wondering where you were. glad you're okay, but i'd sure like to hear more about this library thing!
ReplyDeleteI think you will laugh about this one day. Banned from the library??? What were you reading too loud? Turning the pages too quickly? It reminds me of an episode of Married with Children when Al had an overdue library book and they wanted to fine him hundreds of dollars. Those librarians are out of control LOL!
ReplyDeleteCondolences! It's true, it's sort of funny ... is there a university library you can get into? I mean, they'll let you in ... and I think you can join as a community member for a fee ... but which of the Fort Wayne colleges has the best library would be the question.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for coming over.
ReplyDeleteDeb:
Yes, my blogging has slowed down somewhat with the ban.

I am very opinionated and sometimes that rubs folks the wrong way. One of the security guard did not care for my caring side when I witness someone being mistreated.
He felt I was butting into his business when I did not like how a teenager was being misinformed about being arrested and I began the voice of the young child. Me getting ban prevented the young lady from being hauled to juvie while all attention was on me.
It's a pain dealing with security who hate their job and people who talk back.

You are right about colleges and their libraries. However, I have lots of books at home that I have not read. My point of going to the library was to use their computer and free printouts. sigh!!!
I can't believe those Libertarians treated you that way. I was actually considering voting for them, but not after this.
ReplyDeleteWait, did you say Librarians? - Never mind.
