Repost: Amy Sorrell gagged and sanctioned at East Allen County Schools

Amy Sorrell failure to discourage students expression has left evidence of a school system intolerance of differences. The yellow ribbon delineating the evidence of intolerance was wrapped around the specific writing of one young student. The delineator attacked the taboo subject of same sex relationships within her junior-senior high school. Intolerance was outlined throughout the walls of the schools. Sorrell, the journalism advisor did nothing to stop the controversial article chalk marks.

East County School administrators did. They moved to remove Amy Sorrell, quickly. But the chalk marks were not so easy to be removed without a trace. Sorrell punishment to be banned, sent into exile to never be heard from again did not go as easy as East Allen county school had planned. East Allen found out the pen is mighty..and dangerous when it came find places to have it say.

Sorrell comes from a journalistic background. Sorrell's voice like the student writing was not to be silenced on the issue. Sorrell reputation was being harmed. Sorrell had followed the rules; the school may not have followed its own rules. Sorrell would be punished. She was just a she who wouldn't be missed.

Sorrell would be branded. She would be placed on the peripheral edge, marked as a rabble rouser and marginalized among her peers and journalism students. Removed from her current position and transferred to another school as a probational employee, marks her as defiant and one who does not follow the rules. Sorrell will constantly be monitored for signs of not assimilating into a culture of exclusion. Punishment would not swift, but it would be just for Sorrell.

Gagged.

Free speech comes at a high price. A price that requires Sorrell to remain silent if she wants to remain in the school system.

  1. the nail that sticks up gets hammered. the squeaky wheel gets greased. emporers dont like to be told they arent wearing any clothes. troublemakers get crucified.
peopel are sheep, and afraid to stand up for anything, which is why we got to where America is today. We dont have time to fact check everything we hear, or read, or are told by the corporate media, so hen we are lied to by our govt, and such, who knows what is true anymore. same with the economy. they dont ant to cause runs on the bans, so we get the safe , sanitized, tranquilized versions of the facts, so as not toupset the masses.
The intelligent get muzzeeled, andcensored, and blacklisted, and run out of town, by the crooks, the liars, the cheats, and those who have the most to lose if the citizens were made aware of the truth, and acted upon it. but the preponderance of the "BIG LIE" theory of population control, by use of propaganda, with social ostracization, and shunning, seems to be SOP around America today.

Which is why Roach is considered such a heretic( not hiary tick), and Pariah, and brushed off as just another moonbat with an axe to grind. Ignore Roach. He's justa ranting, crazy lunatic. dangerous. insane. Some say its a fine line between genius and insanity.
And so as the movie line goes "what we have here is failure to communicate". but I think unless everybody starts communicating with each other, and across the google-able Blogosphere, each researching their own areas of interest, and knowledge, and shares that intelligence with everybody, in an open, free, intellectually based nation of laws, then we are merely another outlet to be muzzled, and circumvented, allwoing the evil powers that be to continue with their crooked games of deceit, and greed.
So look at all the "Roach's of the world, not as problems, but as patriots. becasue as someone famous once said " the only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing. and as we all know- if you dont stand up for something, youll fall for anything..
