Afrosphere bloggers can earn Denver Convention Spot

Chuck Plunkett has hit the nail on the head with his postDNC credentials for sale as a way for Afrosphere getting on the floor of the Denver Convention. Here the Obama Camp goes one step further in suggesting that bloggers can have access to the Obama forget able having just access to the state delegates.

And if you are a group of African-American bloggers, as you say you are, raising the $28, 500 should be a piece of cake. Instead of begging the Democratic National Committee to do the right thing. You can enter the room with credential with a higher prestige than the state bloggers. That is if you are as powerful as you say you are African-American bloggers. Instead of trying to raise funds for just getting room accommodation for several individuals bloggers, you can do this, yes you can.

But Afrosphere bloggers are trying to create a more inclusive argument that they are not talking about just "black' bloggers. The new argument being put forth by individual African-American bloggers wanting the privilege to enter the room to Master AM (Aaron Myers) is that brown, red, yellow and purple bloggers are missing from the 55 all raced white group of bloggers.

Hello, The Afrosphere is supportive of other groups, Afrosphere is not exclusive and does not need to make that argument to DNC. Others should join in on the discussion pointing out the lack of inclusion in the DNC blogger pool.

Some in the Afrosphere just want to be mascots (see comment at Jack and Jill) at the Denver Convention, while many in the Afrosphere is pushing for inclusion on their own terms. Mascots just like tokens or quota to meet affirmative action demands to get federal dollars. Afrosphere bloggers are much better than the option of the general pool discussed by the Washington Post and hinted by the DNC and some raced white bloggers.
