Carl Smith, Fort Wayne, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter)---The NAACP and members of the community held another forum to discuss the unsolved homicides in Fort Wayne. Leaders from more than 20 churches attended the forum along with representatives from the police department and Allen County Prosecutor Karen Richards.

Of the 15 homicides in 2008, Karen Richards says that the Prosecutor’s office has filed charges in one case and two other cases are now on her desk. The Fort Wayne Police Department is still investigating the remaining 12 cases. Richards explained to the crowd exactly how police detectives bring in a case before it’s ever tried. Indiana's NewsCenter asked Richards what it will take to catch those people responsible for these crimes.

Karen Richards: "There are an awful lot of people out there whose son or daughter or brother, or someone somehow knows something about one of these homicides and until this community will get behind the police department and the prosecutors office it will be difficult to file charges in anymore of these cases." The forum ended with all members behind Richards to show their full support in solidarity and prayer

The City Police Chief stated they gave evidences to the Prosecutor's Office. Is Richards up for re-election and is saving up cases?
