Jimmy Crickets, So what if folks are late! Barricading doors, calling out the taser team just in case the crowd of tardies gets rowdy could be viewed as a little excessive? I did not want to blog about this but it was brought to my attention twice..so here it is.

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) -
A strict school policy prevented several families and friends from seeing North Side High School graduates receive their diplomas Thursday night.
Once again I found myself shaking my head at the behavior of grown folks who are running things. But, this is what really got me to blogging:
Mr. Jackson": "There was one sheriff that was then accompanied by 3 or 4 other sheriffs that were called for backup because the crowd was growing, and that sheriff started raising his voice and yelling at individuals." And according to Terri Hill, "The officers, the sheriffs, out here are shoving on them, making racial slurs against the African Americans, shoving on little kids." Hill was also angry FWCS administrators did not address the crowd and explain why the doors were locked.
Did anyone call Fort Wayne-Allen County NAACP#3049 or email at unit3049@naacp.org?
Come on people, STAND DOWN, the war is in other countries!!!!!!
Over one hundred folks were late, and the Allen County Chief Deputy had this to say about those tardies who were kicking the doors to see a student graduate, in an article written by Nicole Pence:
Dave Gladieux/Chief Deputy: "Why 100-150 chose to be late, I don't have any control over that. My officers don't have any control over that. They have to follow the rules."
They have to follow the rules?????????????? That will teach these folks a lesson about being on time, you think!?!
Is this what you tell a person whom father travel miles to see his child graduate, just follow the rules? In another article, a parent arrived fifteen minute early and still could not see his child graduate, because of another "rule". Karen Bolipata writes:
Several parents who expected to see their children graduate from Riverbend High School on Saturday were barred from the ceremony, including a father who had flown in from Iraq.DuBois said he and 40 to 50 people with tickets were told by a fire marshal they couldn't enter the gym because it had reached capacity. He arrived 15 minutes before the 2 p.m. ceremony.
"I insisted from the beginning that I would be here June 7 for this purpose," said Rob DuBois, a liaison officer for A-T Solutions, who has a yearlong contract in Iraq. "We waited all these years."
What's next the calling in of the National Guards during graduation or subjecting parents to arrest?
It's a graduation ceremony you say. Arrested, no way..and just when you thought you had heard it all. Here it is, folks go to jail for cheering at graduation ceremony.
Six people at Fort Mill High School's graduation were charged Saturday and a seventh at the graduation for York Comprehensive High School was charged Friday with disorderly conduct, authorities said. Police said the seven yelled after students' names were called.
Dang it. Besides crying at my grandson's graduation, those folks made a lot of noise in celebrating this milestone in a young person life.
Are we surprised will these uptight folks running things, that our children do not want to go to school? But what do I know, I got kicked out of the library for voicing my opinion.
