New African-American U.S Stamps

The United States Post Office always looking for ways to increase their bottom line introduced new stamps preserving a part of African-American history. The 42 cent commemorative first-class stamps will depict posters from the 1920-1950 highlighting African-Americans.

The first class stamps were dedicated in Newark, New Jersey on July 16, 2008. I was told about the new stamps by a Maryland librarian, Virginia Bradley Moore, who is a member of a first day cover group.



Stamp Fulfillment Services also offers first-day covers for new stamp issues and Postal Service stationery items postmarked with the official first day of issue cancellation.
