Propaganda by any other name-Over spending on the Harrison Square Project

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

United States Constitution First Amendment

No law shall be passed, restraining the free interchange of thought and opinion, or restricting the right to speak, write, or print, freely, on any subject whatever: but for the abuse of that right, every person shall be responsible.

Indiana Constitution Article 1 section 9

Freedom of the press is guaranteed for the citizens without government interference and then I go and read this:

Harrison Square funding adjusted Tax district take short of forecast Benjamin Lanka The Journal Gazette

When presenting the downtown project, city leaders promised not to spend more than 50 percent of the revenue from the Jefferson Pointe tax district on Harrison Square. The revenue cut means the city will now have to spend about 60 percent of that revenue downtown.

The blame game by local officials using the Journal-Gazette..so much for free press without government interference
The revenue cut...
meaning the State of Indiana did it and not the folks working in city government in Fort Wayne ! Excuse me, but folks when you got your tax bill did you not see an increase in your taxes? Go look at your last year bill and this year bill...OKAY

And one more other thing, why does Greg Leatherman still have a job:

While the commission members discussed the revenue, expenses and budgets for the taxing districts in open session, city officials denied several requests Monday to release the same worksheets to The Journal Gazette. Smith said keeping that information private was inappropriate.

Leatherman, just how much money is Harrison Square really going to cost the taxpayers of Fort Wayne?
