Since 2002!! Give me a break !!! These folks and their friends have been stealing from the federal government and local taxpayers long before 2002. But Benajamin Lanka of the Journal-Gazette wrote this:
Marine provided a Sept. 25 letter to the commission from Carolyn Murphy, director of HUD’s Columbus, Ohio, Fair Housing Center, who wrote that the city illegally commingled federal grant money with property taxes since at least 2002. It wasn’t until 2007 that the city established a separate budget line for the grants, she wrote.
And what does Controller Pat Roller have to say about this misappropriation of federal funds that were "city illegally commingled federal grant money with property taxes since at least 2002":
Controller Pat Roller said the commission’s budget has been kept the same since the agency was created. She said it appeared that while the rules didn’t change, the federal government has increased its enforcement of them, prompting the budget change. While the budgets going forward are in compliance with the law, she said it will be difficult to go back and account for how every grant dollar was spent in the past several years.
Do you think Roller is a distance relative of Governor Sarah Palin? But anyhoo, Fort Wayne Metropolitan Human Relations Commission has long been deemed irrelevant. Matter of fact, the former Mayor Richard and his administration attempted to shut the agency down. So the fact that federal dollars were not used for its intended purpose is no surprise. This is part of the good ole boys business as usual behavior..lock a few up and throw away the key and that will solve the problem.
I wrote to HUD about the Allen County Health Department and Fort Wayne Housing Authority and the City in its programs (Heather Presley received one of my letter too, American Dream program)and in not using funds earmarked for supporting our community. So HUD whats up with these folks still having a job? And Metro needs to get rid of those folks who are sitting on the board for the protection of the administration. And you don't need me to name names do you?
And Ben remember this, again ( don't forget to look at the new information at the bottom and check out the changes in the tax rate as well as the assessed value of property:
