When I read the article title, We need talk about values, not rehashed lectures on race, I was pretty sure Kevin Leininger was the author. Leininger suggest that when he personally engage in talk about the criminal behavior of African-Americans or African-American having children out of marriage, folks like him are called cowards by folks like Eric Holder, United States Attorney General or racist by the nonprofit United Way.
At least that what he writes to his readers who support him in this foolishness. You know like the cartoonist Delanos and the New York Post sanctioning his cartoon, on the power of the use of deadly force to instant stop something.
You see there was a day when folks believed African-Americans grew tails. You know the same kind of folks like Judge Taney, who believed that some raced white folks would never believe African-American had the same rights as a raced white man. I say raced white man because the rights of a raced white man was the only rights that was being protected during those days.
So, Leininger wants to keep that belief or value system still going but this time Leininger can't use the United States Constitution to support his argument. Instead, Leininger points to homicide and children born out wedlock within the small population of African-Americans.
But Leininger missed the mark, race is no longer black or white.
Obama rise to the White House has proved that even folks who once identified as raced whites are now distancing themselves from the values system of supremacy espoused by raced white males and their families.Yep, a nation of cowards don't want to talk about the fact that raced white population is declining.
Yet the majority of these individuals still live in neighborhoods with few other groups. The appearance of race white supremacy. That schools are built in these neighborhoods to insure that their children do not have to travel by bus to attend school with African-Americans. That these same folks attend churches that remain in African-American community but rarely sit down with any families who live within a block of these churches to share Sunday dinner.
Leininger knows that real African-Americans will not allow his Pat Buchanan rant concerning criminal or sexual behaviors of some African-Americans as the only discussion point in the talk about race.
U.S. Attorney General Holder suggest folks like Leininger learns some black history not some rehashed lectures on race, but the history of a people, my friend. So, I do agree with Leininger, no more fake study circle singing, Kumbaya as if they mean it.
