Aboite Hate Crime Cover up: with Rhetorical Propaganda

Michael Zennie writes about the destruction of an African American family property living in Aboite. Let me note here that Zennie is a reporter with one of Fort Wayne's leading newspapers and Aboite is a community with a small African-American population:

"At first, it terrified her. Because the graffiti targeted her directly, she felt threatened and in danger.

But when she learned teenagers were likely responsible she stopped fearing for her safety. And then calls from friends and neighbors came in, making her feel even better."

With the words "at first", the writer begins to diffuse the actions of the instigators of hatred. Next, the writer implants the word, "teenagers", to negate the seriousness of the actors. Finally, the writer, Zennie, uses the victim's words to reassure the reader that the incident is minor and bluffer the incident as more of a child like prank,
[o]n the other hand, she believes the teens didn’t fully appreciate the damage the graffiti would do.

“I don’t think they even realize what it means to me,” she said.

Pure propaganda.

This is tool of the Nazi Propaganda. And the Jews responds is never forget. So, in the footsteps of the Holocaust survivors, my Obamas, let me tell you in one sentence, what happened to the Doll's family is a HATE CRIME. Never forget.

This what the law says about hate crime from the Department of Justice
:"a criminal offense committed against a person, property, or society that is motivated, in whole or in part, by the offender's bias against a race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or ethnicity/national origin"

The laws says nothing about the forgiving nature of the Doll's family nor the age of the preps. But it does speak about the mental state of the actors, "motivated", offender's bias against a race,," These motivations and bias must lead to a "criminal offense".

So, let's see. Ms. Doll fence was destroyed by a group of teenagers ( criminal offense and was tagged with the words, “Warning n..... ( fill in the blank)lives here," {bias and motivation). But Warner writes,
"..calls from friends and neighbors came in, making her feel even better.

“They’re worried, they’re supportive and upset,” she said. It was a heartening show of solidarity in a subdivision that’s mostly white, she added.

Police spokesman Mike Joyner said the racist vandalism was isolated and an act the police department, and the city, won’t tolerate..

Except, the police report did not include the racial epithet.

Cover-up.

If Aboite or the newspaper were really concerned with eradicating hate crime, the first thing must be reporting it. Adults in a position to make a difference, prentended that nothing bad really happened.

So let me help you here, how to report a hate crime.

I know the NAACP President will have a diversity table to discuss your feelings.

Prevention is more my type of a solution, let's get the players out of the game and report them.

Correction: The name of the writer should be Michael Zennie and not Tracey Warner. My mistake, when I first wrote this article.

You are absolutely right. A hate crime is a hate crime, and the teens responsible for this need to be taught a lesson in the only way they will respond - lock them up for a week with some real xenophobes.
