Rihanna and Chris Brown: during Women History Month

Rihanna and Chris Brown allegedly were involved in a fist-of-cuff. This means that the highly successful duo negative behavior led to police intervention. And the police were happy to expose the details of the allegedly assault to the couple's adoring fans.

Shock waves traveled through the entertainment community. A little undercurrent of disappointment by the women for Rihianna. But Chris Brown received the glaring disapproval for the allegedly beat down. Whom side should the meddling public take?

Domestic violence has no sides. Even if the two get back together, it is what it is..bad behavior. You ask, but if Rihanna forgives Chris, what is our problems? After all it was Rihanna face that took the licking. They are back together so get over!!

Come on people. How many murders have occurred in your community? How many folks have lost their lives because they believe that getting in ones face is how your resolve an issue? Oh, I see you think the two are entirely different. And that's the problem, its physical violence.

Physical violence should not be condoned by any one. Just because these two are lovely and talented does not mean it's okay. Will the two become the new Tina and Ike Turner? Did not Tina finally rise up with, "What's Love got to do with it?"

Are we so willing to turn our heads, when a man rises his hand because this is a successful young woman? A woman who appeared in a video with black leather S& M outfits and dog collar around her neck. Was Rihanna not sending out the message in that video that she was down for bad behavior by bad boys?

Or was I the only one paying attention to the image on display in that video?

Rihanna comes from a generation of women who appears on reality television hurling spit and swinging fists at other women over a single man? What is the message? Are they demonstrating the behavior of an "around the way girl", that LA Cool J sings about? Don't we see these women in the movies where they come to their senses in handling bad behavior by their man by burning the cheating man's clothes. Don't we cheer for the woman who goes the distance and burns down the man's whole house?!!

Yeah, we love it when a woman gets the one up on a no good man. Instead of the message..get out. Tina, finally got the message and left with just the clothes on her back. Exist stage left or right, because it is not healthy for either parties. And generally, it is the woman who ends up with the majority of the bruises.

It's nothing sexy about a beat down.

Sure, we are strong women. We are better than the eveready battery. But we don't have to put on boxing gloves outside a boxing rings to maintain a relationship

And this is the caveat to the ending of the Rihanna and Chris Brown drama, both get equal protection under the law. Meaning, the woman is no longer protected, (Chris Brown would get some protection), too under domestic violence laws. The law understands that sometimes, let me repeat sometimes the woman could be an equal partner in the boxing match.

So, has the stage been set for a rematch between the battle of sexes?
