Review; Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man: What Men Really Think About Love, Relationships, Intimacy, and Commitment

Okay, as you can see I have read my second Act like a lady think like a man. First thing first, the title is longer, Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man: What Men Really Think About Love, Relationships, Intimacy, and Commitment . Second, not only is the title longer so is the book.

I figured the book was going to be a boring read, but it wasn't. Harvey laid out how some women are clueless about the behavior of men. In other words, if a man treats a woman bad, she allows the man to treat her bad. Remember Rihanna going back to Chris?

Why, because we as women, believe our nurturing power will transform a bad boy.

Harvey wants us to know that is not our job.

Harvey, gives women a list of questions to ask men for weeding out the bad boys or misbehaving riff-raff. Harvey has some good points. Of course we must understand, that this book is written from Harvey's perspective and some of the generalizations need not apply to all men.

Harvey suggest women should let men be men. How do a woman let a man be a man? Well, women who like to talk should find a girlfriend to do that and not expect a listening ear to come from her man. And know that men only want to protect, provide and get the cookie from their woman.

So in a nutshell, women be available to give the cookie to your man, because it's hard out there in the streets for a player. Men have to man up to other men out there in the world.

Now, I must say, I enjoyed Harvey's book. One must remember, Harvey is an entertainer. His book is very entertaining and gives us (women) some insight on how some men think about women and their relationship.

In the words of Steve Harvey, it's in their DNA, it is hardwired into their DNA. Unless, your cookie is a chocolate chip with pecans, don't think you're special. I'm just saying.

Note: There were women involved in the writing of the book.

Any time you write as if stereotypes and gener alizations are true, you are misinforming the public. How can anyone tell you how all men or women think? There are mny variations within each sex, depending on upbringing and brain structure. Also, why in heaven's name do I need to "Think Like Man" To "get a man. Any man? I have several graduate degrees and a high IQ. I have never seen any reason to change my behavior or thinking patterns tp find a mate. An old woman once told me a great truth="Don't marry unless you marry your best friend" This makes the most sense to me.If my mate is my best friend, then we will know each other well, regardeless of sex.
