Well Soledad O'Briens attempts to cover the real deal about live in the majority of AFrican-American community. Poverty and its impact on the lifestyle of African-American community, poor health care, incarceration, and poor education . O'Briens realize that a nice livelihood can been made on the lack of information on televisio aobut the issues impacting our community. Many of the those who had few opportunity before a President Obama will now have an opportunity to become spokeperson for community in which they give back:

The
first panel covered health and healthcare in the black community, and panelists
included former CBS anchor Rene Syler, who chose to have a double mastectomy
because both her mother and father had breast cancer; Kimberly Rivers, who
created and was featured in the HBO Oscar nominated film Trouble The Water, and
whose mother died of HIV/AIDS; and musician and lead singer of the “Gap Band,”
Charlie Wilson, who has been diagnosed with Prostrate Cancer.
The
second panel addressed the issues of incarceration, mentoring and
education. The panel included BET political and social commentator Jeff
Johnson; former vice president of morning programming at CNN Kim Bondy; former
professional basketball player and entrepreneur Danny Griffin, who was raised in
the foster care system; and comedian and president of Zeta Phi Beta Sheryl
Underwood.
