Henry Gates Capricious Arrest Outrage

Even if Harvard Scholar Henry Gates had raised his voice or ranted about racialist behavior toward a police, it is minor. Minor when big businesses are bailed out, and investor steal the savings of old folks. Real crimes committed by high powered people, who tend to be raced white, seem to be permissive in society. How else can you explain the recent sting that captured some official in New Jersey.

The mayors of Hoboken and Secaucus, New Jersey, and several rabbis were among at least 30 people arrested today as part of a public corruption and money- laundering investigation by U.S. authorities

Gates, Jr. was in his home. Gates, Jr. was extracted from his home based on a misunderstanding. Police officer should understand that these situation will be emotional and their role require them to take the higher ground. Police officers should never challenge a citizen but write a ticket and walk away if the rebuttal becomes to harsh.

The real criminals are sometimes the police officers bosses, is why Gates arrest leaves that bad taste in your mouth. Not necessary because the police was just doing his job.

Cory Booker
of Newark, New Jersey could probably tell you about some police officers doing their job. As Mayor Booker attempts to more Newark forward.
