Mark Souder loving the teabaggers that I call racialists
Of course I did not ask Indiana Congressmn Mark Souder about tea baggers or President Obama. But back in 2006 I did ask him about the so called gang activity in Fort Wayne and about all that dope money. Oh and I wanted to know why the Social Security Building was being taken out by the airport. So, Congressman is not responding to my questions but to get a dig in at his Democratic challenger Tom Hayhurt with an unsolicited email. So here's his email to me for you the readers, voters in Allen County:
It was Dear Ms. Dowdell:
This year, thousands of Americans marked April 15, Tax Day, by holding rallies to protest out of control government spending and tax increases. Rather than address these concerns, President Obama stated the next day at a fundraiser in Miami that he was "amused" by these rallies and could not understand why the protesters were not thanking him for all of the "tax cuts" he has signed into law. Unfortunately, the President's rhetoric does not match reality. In just over one year in office, his administration has placed a huge tax burden on Americans in every income bracket, including at least 14 different provisions that violate his campaign promise not to raise taxes on the middle class.
Since January 2009, despite my vocal opposition, President Obama and the Democratic majority have forced legislation through Congress that contain tax increases totaling more than $670 billion over the next 10 years--this equates to nearly $2100 for every man, woman, and child in the U.S. Some examples contained in the health care bill alone include a new tax on employers who do not comply with health insurance mandates, an excise tax on medical devices, a tax on name brand pharmaceuticals, an increased tobacco tax, and new tax on certain investment incomes. There are unfortunately dozens of others.
Rather than laughing off the public's outrage, the President and the Democratic leadership would help themselves and our country by addressing the issues. A good starting point would be to cut the out of control federal spending that led to the record $1.4 trillion deficit in 2009 alone. While it may be tough for the big spending Democrats to make budget cuts, we must follow the example of the thousands of Hoosiers who have been forced to cut back during tough economic times. I will continue to fight for legislation that encourages economic growth and ensures our nation's families and small businesses are not loaded with additional tax burdens.
Rest assured, I will continue to look for more ways to control and cut this mountain of debt without raising taxes. If I may be of assistance in the future, please do not hesitate to contact me again. I also encourage you to visit my Web site, which may be found on-line at www.Souder.House.gov.
