Well, we knew it would be just a matter of time. Superintendent Wendy Robinson is being blamed for students poor performance on ISTEP. First blames was directed at low-income families with no expectant for their children frutures. Then blame was being hurled at the federal government unreasonable mandate for leaving NO Child Behind. Next it flung toward schools providing a high number of subsidized lunches and the the schools required to work miracles with special needs children. Now it is Dr. Robinson for poor scores on the ISTEP.
How about blaming teachers who are failing to teach. I believe, that is part of what the NCLB plan is doing. Yes, teachers failing to teach, just visit the classroom. Yes, the students can be unruly, but students have always been unruly. But, if failing to teach other students because of some, it would appear that the teacher need to go.
Here's another one, the push for consolidation. I suggest the need for money to financial maintain these schools in the suburbs. Oh, you thought consolidation was about only consolidating government, no it's about money to maintain separate quality of live issues. So, Dr. Robinson is in the way, if the push is to fold Fort Wayne Community Schools funds into SouthWest Allen county and North Allen County Schools.
It is particular interest at least to me, that some of Mayor Paul Helmke administrators are working within the big public money areas. Fort Wayne Community School has Kathy Friend over the money and East Allen County Schools has McGauley on the board this is not the same John McGauley that is running for recorder and married to Elissa McGauley of the City of Fort Wayne Economic Development, David K. Sedestrom, financial manager of the ACPL (not a member of the board), is treasurer of the library. at the Allen County Public Library comprised of some members appointed by or from the school boards of trustees' members. Do you think this is just a happenstance? Failure to wisely spend educational tax dollars on educating our children is the problem, impacted by cronynism and nepotism, not a single superintendent. Credibility Not Credentials
