Politics and Howard University

I was planning on getting to the Capital today. It was my plan to cross the grass and get as close as I could, never been and I wanted to make sure this time. But, I got sidetracked. I thought, you see the Capital all the time, on television, in books, in the papers, but not the African-American Civil War Memorial. So, I decided to go see the Civil War Memorial. But, it was closed, so I decided that since I was in the area, I would go tour Howard University.

Well, unbeknownst to me, I run into one of the candidates running for Mayor of Washington, D.C. I am making my way through a group of folks who are blocking my path to Howard. As I make my way through, I ask this guy, if he could tell me which way to Howard. At first, I thought, he didn't hear me, so I directed my attention on a young man getting into a car, but the first guy, answers me, "two blocks up."
As I continue on my way, I notice all these political signs. And I think to myself, what a wonderful world. No I think, you know what, I think that guy is running for some kind of office. And you know what, I was right. Mr. Adrian Fenty is running against quite a few folks for Mayor of Washington, D.C. on September 12, 2006.

Did Marion Berry retire? Anyways, don't know if Mr. Fenty is a Democrat, Republican or what, just saw a young, handsome, professional looking kind of guy. I don't get to see too many like that in my hometown, Fort Wayne, Indiana. As, I make my way to Howard University, to see some more handsome, professional African-American males. It's a beautifl thang !!!!
