Nancy Nall, former newspaper writer for the News-Sentinel dropped a bomb on her blog about Tim Goeglein plagiarizing. Goegleing worked for President Bush, no more after a post about his misdeed.
However, it was not Derringer former employer that broke the story but the morning competition. Hmmm, how come, it was the Journal-Gazette? But that only happened after the blogosphere caught wind of the story and blogged away at it, according to Derringer on a post at Slate:
"Reporting in one minute, writing in one hour, a whole career undone in one day. Reading the comments piling up on the original post was a surreal experience, as one reader after another checked in with evidence, with links. It was journalism as hive mind. "Everyone wants to play now," someone wrote after posting a link."
