Governor Mitchell Elias Daniels, appoints former Fort Wayne Police Chief T. Neil Moore as Executive Director of Indiana Criminal Justice Department reads the press release:

INDIANAPOLIS (February 29, 2008) - The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI) Board today approved Governor Mitch Daniels' appointment of T. Neil Moore as the agency's executive director. Moore replaces Mike Cunegin who joined the Indiana Department of Correction as deputy commissioner of administration.

"Neil's 30-plus years of local law enforcement experience will provide ICJI with valuable perspective," Daniels said. "He understands the broad range of challenges faced by police agencies and how ICJI can best assist departments in their crime-fighting initiatives."

Moore began his law enforcement career as an Indiana State Excise Police agent. He then worked for the Fort Wayne Police Department, advancing through the ranks to serve as the city's chief of police for 10 years. After 22 years in law enforcement, Moore became an assistant professor at the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. During his academic career, he assisted police and sheriffs' departments in establishing community policing initiatives and improving communications between officers and citizens.

ICJI provides grants to local law enforcement agencies for victims' assistance funds; impaired and dangerous driving enforcement initiatives; methamphetamine control; and programs to reduce and prevent juvenile crime.

Moore will begin his new duties on March 17

Boy that was quick. I mean it seems like just yesterday that Mike Cunegin held that position over at the ICJI.
Now, Cunegin is replaced by his former boss, a raced white guy that was Fort Wayne former Police Chief, Moore, who is much older than Cunegin.
Talk about the getting bit in the rear end.

Daniels appointed Cunegin, an African-American male to replace a highly educated African-American female, Heather Bolejack. Cunegin has gone over to the Department of Correction serving in the role as head of administration.

Daniels must love men in Fort Wayne-I don't mean that in a sexual manner-but men in fort Wayne who have lesser education than some African-American females in Indiana.

What say you is this an election year or what?

Heather was ousted for political reasons (media didn't do their jobs to get to the bottom of the matter and just regurgitated the admin's comments on her along with bloggin and media spin by Dems anxious to get Mitch any way possible). Cunegin lost his job for lying about his education. He doesn't have a college degree yet posted on the ICJI website for over a year that he held a degree in Criminal Justice from IU. When he got caught he tried to blame a lower level woman in the organization. The administration covered up for him (he's a political insider as opposed to Heather who was not) and moved him on over to DOC.
