EACS officials get top dollars while students receive substandard education

The Journal-Gazette reports on an increase for certain staff members in the East Allen County District in the coming year. Some of these folks need to give back some of the salary back based on the poor performance of students in the district. And what they could do is pay for the lunches of those children who will not be able to pay for the increase in lunches to help pay for the increase in salary for some of these high ranking officials. last year,

According to the article:

After Novotny, the highest-paid administrator in the district is Assistant Superintendent Janet MacLean, who now makes $117,588. According to Novotny’s contract, she is scheduled to have a base salary of $152,239 for calendar year 2008.

Chief Financial Officer Kirby Stahly is the third-highest paid, making $106,543.

Heritage Junior-Senior High School Principal Chris Hissong and Harlan Elementary School Principal Ed Yoder are the highest-paid principals, collecting $104,940. They are followed by Paul Harding High School Principal Neal Brown, who makes $103,440.


To the parents of East Allen County School it cost to maintain an apartheid system, starting at the top with Dr. Kay Novotny.
