Elite Criminals vs. Blue Collar criminals

Recently, Fort Wayne Judge Thomas Felts was detained by police in Indianapolis. Police charge Judge Felts with driving while under the influence of alcohol. Journal-Gazette reports that that the test given to detect alcohol may have been intentional manipulated by Judge Felts. If the allegation proves true, it could be embarrassing to Judge Felts who serves as President of the Indiana Judges Association.

I have no doubt that had Judge Felts not ran into that police car the public would not know of the DWI. It is an elite attitude..a.. we take care of our own that is tradition among these folks in certain political position rather than mandating that they follow the law of the land. This type of attiude may be an enabler in preventing folks like Felts from seeking counsel earlier. Not only should Judge Felts lose his driver license for a year, Judge Felts should be required to attend substance abuse (alcohol)classes. Some who have attended these classes at aadp has found the program abusive. And if there is any Judge in the Indiana Judges Association with any ethics, will remove Judge Felts from the President post unless cleared of the allegations.

Here's my disclaimer here: Judge Felts served as the presiding judge on a property tax case I brought calling for Declaratory and Injunction relief. I wonder if he was on the juice when he ruled in the county favor. I also wonder if the Southtown Mall ruling was compromised, Judge Thomas Felts ruled on this case as well. Could Felts had been drunk while sitting on the bench for these cases or other cases? If Felts failed a faulty field sobriety test at .14 when the legal amount is .08, it could mean that Felts was toasted as he commandeered a Lincoln on the streets of Indy.

Which could means Felts' intent was to drive while drunk meaning Felts knowingly broke the law. Personally, I think Felts is a good looking man and the boy can sing, but his position should means some of his standards are uncompromised.

Hear Judge Felts sing:

  1. So, after Judge Felts is given a slap on the wrist, he will soon be back on the bench passing down sentences against other drunk drivers. I wonder what would happen if I showed up at one of his hearings, and interrupted the proceedings to say what a travesty of justice this is?

I'll tell you what would happen. I would probably be arrested and charged with contempt of court for this outburst - just like what recently happened to Judge Scheibenberger when he did the same thing.

Oh, my fault, I forgot that Judge Schebenberger will also only be slapped on the wrist - because he's a judge.

make 'em all drink aadp "rat poison".
if you or i were charged with a felonious level of alcohol, and involved in an accident causing property damage, the courts would ruin our lives- a whole list too long to go into here.

There is absolutely no way the night he was arrested was the first time he was that wasted-drunk and driving. The blood alcohol test came back 0.19 and he's driving; something that takes really 'practice'. He released a public apology expressing remorse and self-disappointment in what he had done. Where was his remorse and self-disappointment all the previous times he was drinking and driving but didn't get caught? Non-existent. Which implies his apology was as fake as the illusion he carried of being a law-abiding citizen.
I only hope for the bitter-sweet irony that he'll be arrested again in Allen County within the next 5 years so he really can experience the AADP poison and corruption in all its glory. He's half way there.
