Those who are supporters of Governor Sarah Palin are no fans of Gwen Ifill. If putting Governor Palin in the room with one of her own, Couri, was an embarrassment. These folks surely do not want Palin to embarrass herself in the room with an African-American woman who is truly knowledgeable about foreign policies.
Ifill is being dismissed as not being qualified to moderator the debate because she wrote a book titled, "The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama. No the reason is that the supporter of Palin wanted soft shoe Couri to be the moderator rather than have the the PBS journalist outshine both Couri and Palin.
