The first family-Barack Obama

How do you feel? I am numb. I am trying to figure out just want does it means to witness the fact that an African-American will sit in the seat of power come January 2i, 2009. Barbara Jordan's words about the Constitution is not enough for this moment, it is beyond being included. To me, witnessing this day has silenced the words of Judge Roger Taney and his peers the framers of the Constitution, that folks like Obama "had no rights which the white man was bound to respect; and that the negro might justly and lawfully be reduced to slavery for his benefit. He was bought and sold and treated as an ordinary article of merchandise and traffic, whenever profit could be made by it."

No longer an ordinary article of merchandise..today.

Has it changed my life? No but it sure it going to make me hold my head a little more higher.
