Chuck Dowdell will be throwing the football for Saginaw Valley State this year. Dowdell has transferred from Indiana State.
Chuck Dowdell, a junior transfer from Indiana State, will take over under center for the Cardinals when they open their season Thursday at California (Pa.). Dowdell and last year's starter Dan Stiefel battled for the starting job throughout training camp. Dowdell was informed that he would be the starting quarterback by second-year head coach Jim Collins late last week.
Why would this new coach start Dowdell? He is not a true QB, did you see his stats at Ind.St?Stiefel gave you the best chance to win this year. Grand valley just picked up the stud, hell be back next year an d will be the best QB in the GLIAC. First mistake by the second year coach.
ReplyDeletewell right now i see see that saginaw valley is 2-0 under dowdell so hes doin somethin right where last year they were 1-2 at this point in the season.... soo i really like dowdell's playmakin ability and he looks like hes getting things done!! sooo get with it or get lost buddy!

ReplyDelete"That's the best quarterback we've seen all year long. We haven't seen anybody near that kid's ability," Morris said. "I was extremely impressed with him on film and I'm even more impressed now that I‘ve seen him in person."
steifel top qb in gliac??? haha yeah right.. same thing happen to him a GV, faced with compilation and he ran to a D3 school! i think Jim Collins made the right decision because of the heart and leadership of Dowdell... Go CARDS!
